A two-year-old girl killed a snake in revenge for biting her lip by sinking her teeth.

The child, identified only by his initials SE, was playing in the backyard of his family’s home in the village of Kantar in Bingol, Turkey, when neighbors heard him screaming on August 10.

They rushed to help the young man, but found a 20-inch (50 cm) snake stuck in his mouth and a bite mark on his lower lip.

After killing the snake, neighbors administered first aid and called paramedics, according to local media.

The young woman was taken to Bingol Mother and Child Hospital where she was kept under 24-hour observation.

He is now said to be healthy and recovering.

Her relieved father Mehmet Erkan, who was at work when the snake struck, explained: ‘God saved her, really.

‘Our neighbors told me that the snake was in my child’s hand, he was playing with it and then it bit him.

‘He then bit the snake in response.’
