Years ago, an officially-released battleship The point-and-click adventure game developed by Blizzard was leaked online in the late 90s. The game was perfectly playable back then though, its cutscenes were low-quality, highly compressed, not perfectly synced with the audio, and a few were even missing from the direct leak. Now, after years of working on it, someone has remastered all the cutscenes, fixed them up, and made this bit of video game history even easier to experience.

as denoted by Indie Retro News And PC gamermodder DerSilver83 recently published Finished 1.0 release WACRP (Warcraft Adventures Cutscenes Remastered Project) mod features 20 completely remastered cutscenes, including two that did not actually exist in the initial leak but later appeared via a different DVD leak.

You can see an example of what this mod and its advanced cutscenes look like in the video below:

According to modders and the project website, a lot of work has been done on this release. Apparently, DerSilver83 removed all compression artifacts from all cutscenes by hand. The modder used Photoshop to painstakingly redraw entire frames and assets, frame-by-frame. Continuity issues have also been fixed and some new transitional scenes have been created completely from scratch. All audio was synced and now everything runs at the correct 12fps

All told, DerSilver83 says they’ve been working on this mod for about six years, and this latest 1.0 release represents the end of the project. They explained in a post on July 31 that they had done everything they could within what they called a “reasonable timeframe” and were happy with the end result.

DerSilver83 said, “I want to remember this project as something fun On the project site. “So this is it. The final release of my cutscenes remaster project and I hope everyone who uses it can enjoy it as much as I did. I’ve always wanted to make a significant mod for a game I love and I can finally say I’ve achieved it. Did (or at least tried to).”

To actually play this, you’ll need to do some searching around the internet to find the appropriate files needed to play the full game, Since this mod contains only remastered cutscenes And nothing more.
